Archiving Policy
The Journal of Pastoral Service (JPP) is committed to ensuring sustainability, openness, and scientific integrity through the implementation of a well-planned and transparent archiving policy. This policy encompasses three main aspects: self-archiving, open access, and consistency and regularity of publication.
- Self-Archiving
JPP allows authors to self-archive both the published version and the versions prior to publication (pre-print and post-print) in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other academic platforms. Authors are required to include complete bibliographic information of the original publication in JPP, including the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and a link to the journal’s official website. This policy aims to expand the dissemination of knowledge and enhance the visibility of research outcomes in both academic and public domains. - Open Access Policy
JPP adopts a fully open access policy, which allows all journal content to be freely accessed, read, downloaded, and distributed without any charge to users or authors. This policy is grounded in the principle that scientific knowledge is a public resource that should be widely accessible to support the advancement of science, education, and pastoral service. All articles published in JPP are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which permits users to use, distribute, and adapt the work, provided that proper credit is given to the author(s) and publisher. - Consistency and Regularity of Archiving
As part of its good publication governance, JPP employs a digital archiving system integrated with the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. All issues are continuously preserved on the publisher’s institutional server and supported by the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure long-term security and accessibility. The journal is published consistently twice a year, in April and October, with continuous volume and issue numbering. This policy guarantees the regularity of publication, ease of access, and long-term availability of journal archives for readers and researchers.
Through this archiving policy, the Journal of Pastoral Service (JPP) reaffirms its commitment to the principles of transparency, sustainability, and academic responsibility, while strengthening its contribution to the open knowledge ecosystem in the field of theology and pastoral ministry.
